Kathy Hendig - Pottery Workshop

For the cactus and succulent planter demonstration, members will need to bring some supplies in order to make their own cactus/succulent planter.

Please bring the following:

  1. A bowl or other container that is a suitable shape for a planter. It will be used as a support for the clay.
  2. A towel.
  3. A piece of cloth to work on.
  4. A small plastic container for water.
  5. A knife and fork.
  6. A small sponge.
  7. Anything that might make as interesting texture or design on the clay.

I will be bringing the clay and some of my tools, etc. I will do a short demonstration on the coil, slab, and pinch hand building techniques. I’m looking forward to seeing everyone. Please come prepared to have fun!

(Note that there is a $10.00 charge to cover the cost of the materials provided by the presenter and the cost of firing your planter.)
