Clay Fun with Kim Manfredi

At the January meeting, ceramic artist, Kim Manfredi, will be teaching us how to hand-build our own pots. She will be providing clay and a limited amount of tools. If you plan on participating, please bring the following to the meeting:

  1. Rolling pin
  2. Canvas type cloth to go under the clay on the table (to prevent sticking)
  3. Forms on which to drape the clay (such as a bowl)
  4. Textures to impress in the clay
  5. Small sharp knife (with a point)
  6. Cup for water
  7. Box to carry your pots
  8. Small old towel is helpful
  9. Clean-up sponge

The cost for the activity will be $10 per person, which includes clay, glaze, and firing fees. The Board has agreed to cover the cost of the activity for current club members.

In order to help us plan for the activity, please contact Kathi Cambiano (408-293-4887 or cactuskathi-csssj@yahoo.com) by January 5 to reserve your spot today.

Kim will return in February with our fired pots for a glazing demo/activity.
