Brian Kemble - Mexico Trip

Brian Kemble will give a talk on his recent trip to the state of Jalisco, Mexico. Much of the trip consisted of a large loop around the city of Guadalajara, exploring canyons and volcanoes in search of succulent plants. He was particularly pleased to see three different populations of the beautiful Echeveria colorata, as well as several recently-described Agave species he had not seen before.

Brian Kemble is the Curator at the Ruth Bancroft Garden in Walnut Creek, CA. He is also the president of the San Francisco Succulent and Cactus Society and the vice-president of the Institute for Aloe Studies, located in Oakland, CA. Brian has contributed photographs to numerous books on succulents, and has written articles for the Cactus & Succulent Journal, as well as other periodicals. He has been growing succulent plants since the 1970's, and has done much hybridizing with Aloes and Agaves.
