Preparing for the Spring Show and Sale

Our April meeting will be dedicated to getting everyone familiar with the various ways to get involved in our Spring Show and Sale. For our event to be successful we rely on our member volunteers to staff registers, plant hotel, membership, packing, etc. You will be able to ask all your questions, and sign up for shifts during the meeting. One of the best parts of the Show and Sale - besides the amazing plants - is meeting and connecting with people! A great way to make new plant friends is volunteering for the many fun positions that we have to put on a spectacular event. We are a fun and quirky bunch and love meeting new people.

Come join us and also get some of the benefits that are only open to volunteers:

  • Early access to purchase plants on Friday before the sale is open to members and general public
  • As a show of appreciation, coupons called "Showbucks" are given based on hours worked and are used to purchase plants
  • We feed you!
  • Endless conversations on plants and life!

It’s been a while since we have had a show for our members to enter…come to the meeting to learn more about how you can participate in our "People’s Choice" show.

If you would like to join or renew in order to take advantage of the various member’s only opportunities, you may do so online or at the April meeting.

In addition to preparing for our show and sale, we will have a special guest at our April meeting:

Stephen McCabe will give a very short talk (4-5 minutes) about Dudleyas. That will be followed by a sale of special Dudleya species and hybrids and a smaller number of Gasteria seedlings in 3 inch pots.

COVID precautions: Masks are encouraged, but optional for our meetings.
