Plant Photography 101

A common problem among cacti and succulent collectors is to have stunning plants, but not the skills to adequately capture their unique beauty and idiosyncrasies in photographs.
At the September 10th meeting, Sara McPherson (Design Director by day, close-up plant photographer by night) will present user-friendly guidelines, tips, and tricks on the basics of plant photography, such as:
- How to determine which feature of a plant to showcase in a photo
- Lighting
- Composition
- Color
- Depth of field
This talk is for anyone with any skill level (including no skills at all!). There’s no special equipment required - you can achieve beautiful plant photography with just the camera on your smartphone and natural lighting.
