Fundamentals of Plant Tissue Culture of Cactus and Succulents

Dr. Tanner's presentation will cover the basic concepts and practical implementation of plant tissue culture of cactus and succulents. Topics such as necessary supplies and equipment, culture establishment, micropropagation, rooting and acclimation out of culture will be discussed. The aim of this talk is to provide a framework to allow cactus and succulents enthusiasts/citizen scientists to understand the principles of plant tissue culture and foundational techniques to accomplish successful cultures from a home laboratory.
