Our CSSSJ History & Remembering Past Members

Speaker: Loyd Monaco

Loyd Monaco will present a talk on the history of CSSSJ. Founded in 1960 as a nonprofit horticultural club, CSSSJ has a rich history spanning more than 65 years. This year marks our 57th Annual Show and Sale. Loyd grew up in the society, with his parents participating in some of the very first CSSSJ sales held at the fairgrounds.

Over the past year, the club has lost several longtime members, including Rodger Lane, Naomi Bloss, Gary Stubblefield, and Dennis West. We look forward to hearing stories and honoring the lives of past members who helped shape the club into what it is today.
