Richard Bernard was the past president of the San Francisco Succulent and Cactus Society, past president of the Northern California Cactus and Succulent Society, past CSSA Director, and served as their Convention Chairman for 10 years. He also engineered the bar code system that is used in most of the California cactus and succulent sales.

Richard is an avid landscape and wildflower photographer.

He regularly visits the deserts of the American southwest for the last 25 years.

His presentation will be based on his travels in the succulent habitats of California.
